When connected to Sync, the scanner communicates with your Sync Server for any created Tags. It will no longer use the local tags on the device.
The instructions below explain how to add customized Tag Labels to your Sync Server from the Sync Web Portal.
Message: Enter what you would like the Tag to be called.
Icon (optional): Select the type of icon you would like to be displayed for this tag i.e. Hand, Question Mark, Exclamation, Asterisk, Stop, Error. Leave as None if you do not want an icon.
Expiration Date (optional): Add when you’d like the tag to expire.
Enable SMS Alerts (optional): Enable alerts via SMS when someone with this tag is scanned.
Enable Email Alerts (optional): Enable alerts via Email when someone with this tag is scanned.
Silent (optional): Check box if you would like the tag to be silent. See below for more information.
Silent Tag: If a tag is marked silent, the scanners will not display the normal pop up if an ID has this tag applied. It will instead send Email and SMS alerts to alert the proper staff that this customer has been scanned.
