Can Barcode Detective stay on while not saving Customer Data
Can Barcode Detective (EIDS) be turned on while saved scan data is turned off?
No, Barcode Detective is not able to work if the saving of data is disabled. Barcode detective requires data to be sent to Tokenworks where it is analyzed to be determined if it is a fake or real ID.
How to use Barcode Detective (EIDS) with Automatic Deletion
If you need to use Barcode Detective but your state and/or company policy does not allow you to save customer data, you can enable our Auto Deletion feature by clicking here.
Setting the Age of Data to Delete to 0 days and checking all the deletion options will delete every scan and customer every day.
NOTE: The app must be restarted for Auto deletion to take effect. This can be done by going to the Main Screen of the app and tapping Exit (pincode required) or by restarting the device.
