Step 4: Connect your device to your computer using a USB C cable and set to File Transfer Mode. Click here to how to set your device to File Transfer mode.

Once connected, open File Explorer. When File Explorer opens tap on PDA in the left hand column.

Step 5: Tap on Internal Shared Storage > Documents > IDVisor Smart.

Step 6: Once you’re in the IDVisor Smart folder, look for the backup database that was created. You can sort by Date Modified to bring up the latest version. The database copy will also have the date and time it was created in the file name.

Example: dbcopyYYYYMMDD_HHMMSS = dbcopy20250815_123120.

Step 7: You can copy the database file directly to your desktop or in a created folder. In our example we are copying the file into a created folder named Smart Backup DB.

Once copied, you can disconnect your old Smart device.

Once there, you can disconnect your IDVisor Smart device from the computer.

Step 9: On the new device go back to Setup > Database.
