How to Import a Tag List on the Sync Web Portal

The following guide below provides step by step instruction on importing a Tag List to the Sync Web Portal. This will allow you to pre-upload a list of customers that you would like tagged (i.e. banned, vip, owes $, etc) to the Sync Server and communicate this list to all devices that are connected to your Sync Server. 




  1. Click on Reports then Watch Tag List.






  1. In Watch Tag list you will have the option to import which will import a csv file with multiple tagged people listed or create a new Watch Tag which will allow you to add a new tagged person individually.



How to create a Tag List for Sync



Follow the provided CSV File Import format. You can use any program that can create csv (comma delimited) files such as Microsoft Excel or Google sheets, etc.

Sample Tag List

The column format should be as followed: 
  1. Last Name 
  2. First Name 
  3. ID Number 
  4. Date of Birth in YYYYMMDD or YYYY-MM-DD format
  5. Notes to add (any notes for particular customer)
  6. Tag Expiration Date in YYYYMMDD or YYYY-MM-DD format
  7. Tag Code (for list of Tag Codes go to Settings > Tag Labels in the Sync Web Portal)

The tag list should NOT include column headers. All fields are not necessary except Last Name, First Name, and Tag Code. Please be aware the more fields filled in will provide more accurate result.

Save the created Tag List in a csv (Comma Delimited) format.
How to create a Watch Tag (individually adding a customer to be tagged)

  1. Select a Tag label by clicking the drop down arrow. 
  2. Enter the First Name of the person you would like to Tag.
  3. Enter the Last Name of the person you would like to Tag. 
  4. Enter the Date of Birth (optional).
  5. Enter the Tag Expiration (optional).
  6. Enter any Notes you would like to add about the Tag (optional).
 



  1. Click on Import. Review the Csv File Import format and confirm your created tag list is in the same format.



    Once confirmed click on Choose File.






  1. Select your created tag list then click Open. This will import the tags on the created tag list.






  1. To see the imported Tags, set the time to last 24 hours then click apply filter.





This will bring up all the tag information for all the tags that were imported.
