How to Connect a Scanner to IDVisor Sync

When adding a scanner or changing a scanner name on your Sync account, the changes will have to be added to your physical scanner as well to continue uploading data. 


See the instructions below based on the scanner you have. Follow the provided step by step instructions to connect your scanner to your Sync account. You will need your server name for your account to connect the scanner.  Please be sure the device is connected to WiFi or has a network connection before beginning. 

NOTE: You can find the server name in the Sync Console by going to Settings > Server and/or referring to your "Welcome to IDVisor Sync" email sent by Tokenworks.

Step 1: Tap Setup




Step 2: Tap on Configuration.




Step 3: Tap on Advanced.



Step 4: Toggle the Connect to IDVisor Sync feature to ON.



Step 5: Enter the scanner information.


Username & Password: Enter the provided Scanner Username and Password created on the IDVisor Sync Console or Sync Web portal.

NOTE: The scanner username and password is different from your Sync Account login username and password.


Server Name: Enter the Server Name for your account.

NOTE: You can find the server name in the Sync Console by going to Settings > Server and/or referring to your "Welcome to IDVisor Sync" email sent by Tokenworks. 


Server Type: Set to Remote.



Step 6: Tap on Test.


After a successful connnection you will receive a quick notification at the bottom of the screen saying Success.


Tap Save and go back to the IDScanner screen.



You will now see the Green Dot indicating the scanner is connected to the network.

Step 1: From the Main screen select Settings.




Step 2: On the Settings page, select Scanning Preferences.

You will be prompted to enter you passphrase (default = 5678).


Step 3: Once in Scanner Preferences, check the box next to Connect to Server.




Step 4: After selecting Connect to Server, you will be taken to the Server Settings screen.

Username & Password: Enter the provided Scanner Username and Password created on the IDVisor Sync Console or Sync Web portal.
NOTE: The scanner username and password is different from your Sync Account login username and password.

Server IP Address: Enter the Server Name for the Server IP Address.
NOTE: You can find the server name in the Sync Console by going to Settings > Server and/or referring to your "Welcome to IDVisor Sync" email sent by Tokenworks. 


Double check the provided information to confirm it is correct.


Step 5: After you have confirmed the information is correct, select Test Login

When the login is successful you will receive a confirmation message saying the login was successful.
NOTE: If the login was not successful, re-enter the require credentials and try again.

After receiving this message select Save.


After you have successfully logged in, go back to the Main page. You will now see a Green dot on the bottom right of the screen indicating the scanner is now connected to the network.

Select the “Settings” tab at the top of the IDVisor Sentry application.



Select “Server Settings”.
NOTE:  You will be prompted for a PIN code, the default PIN is 5678.



On the newly opened server settings window, select the “Remote” option.

Enter the scanner info:

Server Name: Enter the Server Name for your account.
NOTE: You can find the server name in the Sync Console by going to Settings > Server and/or referring to your "Welcome to IDVisor Sync" email sent by Tokenworks. 

Scanner Name & Password: Enter the provided Scanner Username and Password created on the IDVisor Sync Console or Sync Web portal.
NOTE: The scanner username and password is different from your Sync Account login username and password.

Select the “Test” option.




Upon successful configuration, a window will pop up confirming a successful login. Select “OK”.



Select “Save” on the bottom left side of the Server Settings window.



Go back to the "Main" tab. You will see a green dot on the bottom left hand corner indicating your IDVisor Sentry is now connected to the IDVisor Sync Server.
