If your AgeVisor device is stuck on a Getting Windows Ready screen or the Windows logo with a loading circle, your device is most likely going through a Windows Update.

Possible reasons of why this is occurring:

  1. A slow Internet speed or device is in an area with low Wifi access.
  2. An operating system hasn’t been updated in a long time and needs to download and install a lot of data.

How to Fix the Getting Windows Ready Stuck Issue

To fix the “Windows stuck on getting ready” issue, you can try the following ways.

Wait for the update to finish

The message "Getting Windows ready, don't turn off your computer" indicates that your system is performing background tasks. These tasks may include downloading and installing files, initiating a Windows 10 update, or modifying application and module settings.

The time required to complete these tasks varies depending on the number of programs installed and the duration since your last PC update. If your PC is outdated and requires numerous update files, the installation process may be slow.

It is advisable to wait patiently for approximately 2-3 hours. If the "Getting Windows ready" message persists beyond this timeframe, proceed to alternative troubleshooting methods.

Verify Your Internet Connection

The Windows update download process will be slow if your internet connection is unstable or your device is too far from your router. This may cause the "getting Windows ready" process to become stuck.

NOTE: While it is highly recommended to wait for the updates to complete. If the update is still trying to complete after 5 hours, you may have to move the device closer to you Wifi access point or router to speed up the process. Please note that when your Windows is getting updated, an abrupt shutdown might lead to the corruption of critical system files. This can lead to the device having to come in for service.

If you acknowledge the risk proceed with the safe shutdown process below.
Safely shut down the device using the instructions below:
